About Bandy Jacob Strawn
Bandy Jacob Strawn is a writer, technologist, and the founder of Clarity House Press. He works in two registers: trauma-recovery resources for people rebuilding after narcissistic abuse, and long-form evidence investigations that weigh contested public questions one claim at a time.
The recovery work combines intensive clinical research with lived experience of narcissistic abuse and trauma recovery. After recognizing a critical gap in accessible, research-backed resources for survivors of narcissistic abuse and high-conflict family situations, Bandy channeled that recognition into creating the materials he wished had existed when he first needed them — writing that bridges clinical accuracy and real-world accessibility, and offers validation, language, and practical tools rather than platitudes.
The Clarity House Press Investigations line applies a different discipline to a different problem. Fatherless by Design isolates the independent effect of father absence from the poverty it usually travels with, and tests it against the Bradford Hill criteria — the framework epidemiologists used to establish that smoking causes cancer. Childhood, Rewired weighs seven domains of the screen-time debate and marks every verdict well-established, contested, overstated or mixed against a rubric published in the book itself, so any conclusion in it can be audited against its own standard. Both stage the strongest version of each side before ruling, and neither asks to be taken on trust: read the citations, check the sources, decide for yourself.
On Childhood, Rewired he writes from what the book calls the narrow bridge generation — old enough to remember a childhood that ran entirely on analog infrastructure, young enough to have spent his whole adult life inside the digital one. That vantage, lived rather than studied, is the credential behind the book.
One commitment runs under both lines: evidence over assertion, and confidence marked rather than assumed. Clarity House Press exists so that nobody navigating a hard question — about a family, a court, or a childhood — has to do it on someone else's say-so.
